Tried and true, the Razors SL Skate has earned a reputation as one of the top performing skates and is the first choice of the majority of the Razor's team..The SL skate was revolutionary due to it's baseless design, which increases the contact with the grinds while lowering the center of gravity. These innovations lead to increased control while grinding along with a substantial drop in weight. The SL Red has forgone the skinned look which for the simple hardboot feel making the skate a tad bit sleeker and lighter.
Like its predecessors, the SL Red skate features a deep and solid sound when landing because of the shock and sound dampener between soul and boot, eliminating that dreadful plastic clacking feel and sound. These skates come equipped with a Razors liner specially that provides both foot comfort and foot/ankle support with its neoprene toe area and articulated ankle shape. To top it off Jug provided these skates with an oversized heel pad that rivals the legendary Salomon shock absorber from yesteryear.
The SL soul and backslide plate system is one of the best available and is perfectly suited to skate right out the box! Gone are the days of spending multiple sessions trying to create a solid groove. The SL Reds are locked and loaded with the GC Featherlite 3 frames, Razor 57mm 90a wheels, ABEC 7 bearings and GC 42mm nylon anti rockers.
Except for the SL shell itself, all of the parts on this Razor skate are readily available and easily replaceable when they wear out from your daily grind, meaning that the lifespan of the skates can be increased dramatically and you can customize them in the future with different part colors and aftermarket parts.
